IT’S THE LITTLE THINGS.
yesterday, my day started out with a simple breakfast and as the day went on, it proved the point that it’s important to pay attention to the little things; the little things are often what makes life great.
my mom arrived in boston for a long weekend, a staycation for me and a vacation for her. we lounged in the A/C for the evening, but after a quick trip to the grocery store, we threw together some flatbread pizzas that hit the spot.
okay, so this photo doesn’t appear to be that appetizing, but i can assure you, looks can be deceiving. we topped some naan with tomato sauce, goat cheese, perdue chicken shortcuts and caramelized onions. ten minutes in the oven and dinner was served. and of course, it only made sense to mix up some refreshing cocktails to go with it.
nothing says summer like lemonade. and these didn’t disappoint on another of the hottest days thus far. three ingredients (well, four if you count the ice): vodka, raspberry lemonade and frozen raspberries.
oh, and while we’re on the topic of small things, my complimentary mini photo book from my publisher arrived today! i randomly liked them on facebook and was given access to a code for a free book. with free shipping, why not try it out?
as you can see, i used the photos from my recent road trip. the quality of the photos was quite good and the software to create the book was easy to use. plus, how cute is the packaging? see, the little things.
