TO A GREAT SUMMER.

on the eve of summer solstice, we had plans to go candlepin bowling at sacco’s in davis square, also home to the flatbread pizza company. but alas, it was nursery school night. go figure. we found out that blue ribbon bbq had quite a wait and then wandered a bit, ending up at orleans restaurant. little did we know, it would be one of the best dinners in a long time. we sat on the patio, had a fantastic waitress (her name was ashley, so of course she was awesome) and the weather was perfect. i can only attest to the deliciousness of my meal (a fine suggestion from ashley), but i think these photos speak for themselves.

southern-fried chicken breast with coconut corn bread, mashed potatoes, smoked bacon gravy and garlic spinach. i did good.

miss romanowski got the carribean chicken club with a spiced grilled chicken breast, avocado, cheddar, and smoked jalapeno aioli, sans bacon, on a portuguese sweet roll. with a side of tomato basil bisque.

lindsay went for the famous steak tips with mashed potatoes and garlic spinach. always a classic.

ed gets in the running with a gnocchi special in a pink rose sauce. it’s expanding!

and last but least, shire ordered the sweet sesame chicken pizza with pineapple, green peppers, sweet chili sauce and jack cheese.


if the rest of my summer dining is anywhere close to this, it’s definitely going to be a great summer.
